Turn Your iPhone Into A Flashlight

Thursday, 10 July 2008 00:45

iPhone Flashlight No more digging for a flashlight, use your iPhone.

Everybody knows how hard it is to find something in the dark when you are not prepared. It's smart to use your phone as a flashlight because you have it everywhere you go. Now, the problem is that most of the phones have a low level of brightness and cannot substitute a normal flashlight. Even the iPhone is not good enough as it is. We all know the old trick with the white image displayed with your iPhone's Photo application. That's not good enough too. I want my iPhone to shine as bright or brighter than any traditional or LED flashlight. Doapp, a registered developer of Apple iPhone applications, developed a new tool named DoApp myLite™ that allows your iPhone (or iPod Touch) to double as your own personal digital flashlight.

The app has two on-screen "slider" controls, for color spectrum and brightness, allowing Adjust the light to be more like fluorescent (cool) or incandescent (warm) light, or anything in between -- whatever your personal preference. Additional features include the ability to cycle through a spectrum of colors, which is fun for kids or to dramatize any storytelling situation -- not to speak of trippin' out at rock concerts. This instant "night light" is good for everything from reading in the dark to finding a keyhole in a pinch. Keeping your iPhone by the side of your bed at night now has an added benefit. "It makes sense to use your phone as a flashlight because you have it everywhere you go," Joe Sriver, DoApp Founder and CEO. The DoApp myLite app works with both the iPhone and iPod Touch and will be available when the Apple AppStore opens on July 11, 2008, for only 99 cents.
