One of the leading global providers of memory products for digital media, Lexar Media, revealed the fact that it will introduce a new memory card, the Lexar® Professional 600x CompactFlash® (CF) card, which provides enhanced speed and performance for professional photographers and advanced photo enthusiasts who capture high-definition images and videos on digital SLRs.  A new Intel® Xeon® processor codenamed "Nehalem-EX" has been revealed by Intel. Being able to deliver a number of new technical advancements and boost enterprise computing performance, the processor will be running the next generation of intelligent and expandable high-end Intel server platforms. The Nehalem-EX processor, being ready to enter production later this year, will feature up to eight cores inside a single chip supporting 16 threads and 24MB of cache. Offering the highest-ever jump from a previous generation processor, its performance increase will be dramatic. |

 The world’s fastest and most innovative web browser has been revealed by Apple.  In order to acquire certain assets of Rosetta Biosoftware, a business unit of Rosetta Inpharmatics LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Merck & Co. Inc. Microsoft Corp. revealed that it has signed an agreement with Merck & Co. Inc. To enable enhanced translational research capabilities, the deal allows Microsoft to incorporate genomic, genetic, metabolomic and proteomics data management software into the Microsoft Amalga Life Sciences platform, while,in order to enhance the Amalga Life Sciences platform to meet emerging pharmaceutical research needs, Microsoft will establish a strategic relationship with Merck. |
