 Sony Ericsson is introducing its first mobile phone with Smile Shutter,which detects a person's smile and automatically takes a picture. The Smile Shutter is also part of a firmware updatethe 8.1 megapixel C905, introduced together with the C510 at CES. The C510 Cyber-shot is powered by a 3.2 Megapixel Cyber-Shot auto focus camera witch has no Xenon Flash.  At the CES 2009 Asus unveiled the W90 a new high-end entertainment notebook; the latest Asus multimedia laptop powered by Intel’s Core 2 Duo processor (T9600,T9400,P8600 or P8400). The W90 is based on the Intel X38 chipset has up to 6GB of RAM and dual 500GB hard drive. The system it's equipped with the Turbo Gear function which allows users to overclock the machine by “up to 25%”. The W90 is equipped with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 or HD 3850 X2 dual graphics, or a single NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GS GPU depending on model. |

PandaLabs received more malware in the first eight months of 2008 than in the previous 17 years combined. Even more, the leading cause of malware infections in 2008 was Trojans, and rogue antimalware programs were among the fastest growing threats of 2008. The Panda Security's malware analysis and detection laboratory, released the 2008 annual report. From this report we can see that an average of 35,000 malware samples were detected each day, 22,000 of which were new infections. By the year's end, the total count of malware threats detected by PandaLabs exceeded 15 million.

 HP, MTV and AMD today named Hisako Sakihama, a 27-year-old designer from Japan, the winner of its “Engine Room” Notebook Design Contest. “Engine Room” Notebook Design Contest is a worldwide competition in which the contestants had to design the next HP “artist edition” notebook PC. The regional finalists received the most votes and represent the top designs from Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America. Sakihama’s design of sea and sky in Okinawa was chosen as the grand prize winner from the regional finalists by a judges panel composed of regional heads of creative at MTV, art directors at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, and industrial design managers at HP. The design will be featured on an HP limited-edition notebook PC featuring the AMD Turion X2 Ultra™ notebook platform later this year. |
